Not Your Ordinary Erotic Novel --
This is most definitely NOT your ordinary erotic novel. To be sure, there's a lot of sex in here, of nearly all kinds. But what else would you expect in a story about a `professional escort'? It could almost be construed as educational in some ways. However, there's also a strong sub-plot featuring a conspiracy and suspense.
23-year-old Karen left her country home for the big city, with no specific plans for her future. She's quite brainy and logical, not to mention sensible and careful, plus she enjoys sex, so why not? She earns a decent living and is able to have time for herself when she chooses. She also has standards, and will not accept just any client off the street.
One of these acceptable clients is a slightly-older young man, who introduces himself as Steve. The sex between them is dynamite, and Karen finds herself drawn to the handsome and quiet young man. Her dreams are shattered by a phone call from a local police detective, who asks strange questions about her favorite client, Steve. He then casually informs her that Steve has been stabbed and thrown off a bridge.
But all is not as it might seem. A phone call from Steve-- who confesses that he's really Howie-- is not dead after all, but he's sort of in hiding. Mixed throughout the story are interesting facets of Karen's daily life - her pansies and fondness for a wren she names Wendy - plus her varied clients.
When she learns of a mystery surrounding Steve, she determines to be of help to him. In the process she places herself in great danger.
Not for the squeamish or sexually shy, the story as a whole is vastly entertaining. The author has an imagination that knows no bounds, and plotting skills enough for ten writers!

The story flows at a fairly good pace, in spite of the author’s tendency to indulge in meaningless details. The sex is hot and varied – after all, the heroine is a sex provider– and the romance between hooker and client develops in a believable manner.
